DIABETES CURE… OR THE BEGINNING OF A MEDICAL REVOLUTION

Image
🚨 DIABETES CURE… OR THE BEGINNING OF A MEDICAL REVOLUTION?  For over a century, diabetes has meant daily injections, constant monitoring, and a lifetime of management. But now, scientists in China and researchers at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in the United States have done something shocking, they used stem cells to create new insulin-producing cells and transplanted them into real patients. And here’s the twist… Some people with Type 1 diabetes started making their own insulin again. No pump. No syringe. Just living cells doing their job. It’s not a full cure yet. Trials are still small, and long-term results are unknown. But for the first time, medicine isn’t just managing diabetes, it’s trying to rebuild the pancreas itself. Science fiction? Not anymore..

From N16,000 to N199,000: A Lesson in Smart Saving for the Future

From N16,000 to N199,000: A Lesson in Smart Saving for the Future 0 By: Adeboye Prince Adetu This is a wake-up call to everyone, especially those of us who are currently earning and want to put a little something aside for the future. We all know the old saying: "Do not keep all your money in one pocket." But where do we put it to make it work for us? I am writing this to share a personal testimony and a better way to save and grow your funds. In the past, buying shares was a stressful process. I bought several shares through brokers, but I never truly had control. I had to wait for them to sell and then wait again for them to forward the money. It was a long, frustrating process. Then, I discovered the Bamboo app, a platform where you can buy and sell shares with just a few clicks, whenever you want. A Tribute That Turned into a Blessing Out of love for my late father, who worked diligently for 35 years at NCR and retired from there, I decided to buy 1000 shares of NCR stock...

YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE HIM, BUT HE IS YOUR PRESIDENT

Image
YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE HIM, BUT HE IS YOUR PRESIDENT - he influence your life  “My political strength is in my sincere relationship with my friends across Nigeria. We have been friends for decades.  You can't use over 40 years of your life to pretend, even a saying goes "a fool at 40 is a fool forever", it goes for the wise at 40 too, it goes for the loyal at 40 too. I did not wake up one day to say I want to lead Nigeria,  I took time to understand the country and her people.  I led my own life, I led in my own career, I led my senatorial district, I led my state, I led the Progressives in my region before I became the National Leader of our progressive party.  Like in 1983, when Muhammadu Buhari introduced War Against Indiscipline, he said when we get to any place, we must queue, so I was on queue too for decades, the queue of friendship, the queue of perseverance, the queue of track records,  the queue of capacity, capability and patriotism.  "Nigeria n...

Why 50 Birds Beat ₦1M in the Bank Forget "Big Boy" status in the city; the real wealth is in the backyard. Let's compare someone with 50 Noiler birds (producing fertilized eggs) against someone with ₦1,000,000 sitting in a fixed deposit. 1. The Revenue (The Inflow) Noilers are good layers. Out of 50 birds, with good management, you can get a 70% production rate (about 35 eggs daily). 1 Fertilized Noiler Egg: ₦500 Daily Production (35 eggs): ₦17,500 Monthly Revenue: ₦17,500 × 30 days = ₦525,000 2. The Expenses (Feed & Maintenance) Because you have 50 birds, you can't rely 100% on "pick-pick" (free-range). You need to feed them properly to maintain that egg production. Feeding Cost: ~2 bags of layers mash per month = ₦32,000 (approx. ₦16k per bag) Medication/Vaccines: ₦3,000 monthly Total Monthly Expense: ₦35,000 Net Monthly Profit: ₦525,000 - ₦35,000 = ₦490,000 3. The Yearly Showdown: Noiler vs. Bank The Noiler Farmer: ₦490,0...

Why darkness during the rain

Image
THIS IS FOR SAFETY. When heavy rain is coming, DisCos sometimes switch off supply on purpose. Water and live electricity don’t mix. If rain gets into weak connections, leaking transformers, or exposed wires, it can cause sparks, fires, or even electrocution. It’s usually better to take the power off briefly than risk lives or damage that could keep an area in darkness for days. Another issue is the network itself. Most power lines in Nigeria are overhead, hanging on poles across streets and neighbourhoods, and a lot of them are old. When it rains, water finds its way into cracked insulators, rusty joints, or damaged cables. Once that happens, the system automatically trips to prevent something bigger, like a transformer blowing or a substation going down. Rain also comes with wind and lightning. Lightning can send a strong surge into the lines, while wind can bring down branches or make wires clash. When that happens, the system cuts supply to protect itself.

Ti o ba gọ, iwọ lo mọ

Ti o ba gọ, iwọ lo mọ  I met with a big sis who is very close to my parents last week and our conversations has never stopped reverberating in my head. She advised me to be very intentional with my financial investments and also plan very well for my retirement. Olajide Obe An advice from @olajideobe on X platform  This auntie told me that she has a house in Lekki which she bought for about 150m when she got it and people are already offering her 400m for the house but she isn't interested in selling it for now. She said she deposited 70m for the off-plan deal and paid 80m balance in monthly installments. She spent almost another 40m for the finishing to her own taste and put the house out for rent. She has other properties in Ibadan and Akure. All the proceeds from all her rental properties in Nigeria goes into treasury bills and FGN bonds. She said that for every 10m of hers that goes into t-bills, she earns close to 2m as interest. The aunty said to me "Jide, don't let ...
