Nigeria sympathise with America

 The Federal Government of Nigeria has received with deep concern and diplomatic surprise the report that two National Guard soldiers were shot near the White House, Washington D.C., United States of America.


As a nation that is unfortunately too familiar with unexpected gunshots from unknown locations, Nigeria stands in full solidarity with the Government and People of the United States at this time. We hereby extend our heartfelt condolences, sympathies, and a gentle reminder that even superpowers are not exempt from “one chance” incidents.


Nigeria urges the U.S. authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, deploy CCTV cameras that are actually working, and ensure that security agencies do not start saying “the shooters are foreigners” without evidence. 😌
